Testimonials

“Nick is always a welcome presenter. His presentations blend practical tips and insights into the larger picture. He is always on the bleeding edge of technology, eyeing its intersection with libraries. Attendees (including myself) are left with their minds buzzing with ideas long after he speaks.”

-Diana Silveira, Novare Library Services.

“SWFLN appreciates and values our relationship with Nick as a workshop presenter and educator. His webinars are easy to understand and engaging which is why registration tends to fill up quickly whenever we add him to our training calendar. He is well-respected as a presenter and expert in the area of tech in libraries and our members know the value of attending his webinars. We recently hosted Nick to present on AI in Libraries and attendees provided all positive feedback afterwards. Not only did they felt more confident using and experimenting with AI, but they also intended to apply what they learned immediately in their libraries. He is able to take complicated topics and make them easy to understand and work with, which is a true testament to someone who understands the role of technology in libraries.”

-Amy-Jane McWilliam, Assistant Director | Southwest Florida Library Network

Nick’s presentation, “Libraries in the Age of AI: A primer” is an example of the timely, relevant content that I have come to expect from him. Nick contextualizes emerging (and sometimes controversial) technologies for the library environment and with the librarian/ library staff in mind, helping us approach these topics and technologies with an understanding of their impact and potential use in a relatable way. Feedback from evaluations includes appreciation that he isn’t evangelizing tech for the sake of it, that he is able to convey a lot of information without making it feel overwhelming, and that he is very clearly knowledgeable about the tech and libraries.

“Mr. Tanzi’s presentation was engaging, informative, and thought-provoking. The attention to detail, the availability of resources, and the overall atmosphere contributed to a highly rewarding experience. Once again, thank you for presenting such a remarkable seminar for us. I look forward to any future collaboration and hope to have the privilege of attending another enriching experience.”

-Ms. Nambitha Manqola, Assistant Director: Research and Scholarly Communications University of the Free State, Emerging Librarian award winner 22/23.

“Nick has a deep understanding of technology issues in the library that covers the breadth from understanding the details of how technology operates to how these details impact the management of the library…he is able to clearly communicate these issues in layman terms so managers and technologists alike can understand the issues in a way that does not oversimplify.”
